Theoretical high-energy physics group
The theoretical high-energy physics group has intense interactions with several theory groups in the immediate neighbourhood:
- Only a couple of minutes walking from us, you'll find the Mathematical Physics of Fundamental Interactions group and the Service de Physique Théorique at the Université Libre de Bruxelles.
-
A 15 minute car drive brings you to the High Energy Physics and Relativistic Field Theory group at the Institute for Theoretical Physics of the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven.
-
The theoretical high-energy group is actively involved in the recently founded Brout-Englert-Lemaître Center, https://www.bel-center.be
Elementary particles group
The elementary particles group works closely with the ULB. Since 1972 they form the IIHE. The present research programme is based on the extensive use of the high energy particle accelerators and experimental facilities at CERN (Switzerland) and DESY (Germany) as well as on non-accelerator experiments at the South Pole.
